A three-car crash caused a traffic snarl Friday afternoon and sent at least two people to the hospital but didn’t result in any life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of FM 2004, spokesman for the La Marque Police Department Sgt. Richard Hernandez said.

Hernandez didn’t have details Friday about exactly how the crash happened but said it likely was related to a failure to yield.

Two SUVs and a pick-up truck were involved in the wreck, Hernandez said. At least two people were sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, he said. Two children in the truck had minor bumps and scrapes, he said.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, he said.
