Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of Sealy Street just before midnight Friday after receiving reports of a shooting. A victim was found at the scene who had been shot four times, police said.
Officers performed lifesaving efforts while waiting for Galveston EMS to arrive. EMS workers took over lifesaving efforts while transporting to the hospital, but the victim died of his injuries at the hospital, police said.
The circumstances of the shooting, a suspect and where the victim was shot and his identity were not disclosed Monday.Â
