GALVESTON — For Larry Murphy Sr., the business opportunity was obvious.

With the opening last year of Galveston’s Pleasure Pier, he realized some visitors, perhaps tired from a day of fun and sun, might be looking for a quick and easy way to get to their cars or hotels.

Awesome idea, would love to see more of these especially downtown! Austin has had great success in utilizing pedicabs for a while now- Glad to see Galveston growing up [smile]

I had occasion to use the services of the company. I had the nicest person take me where I wanted to go. He was young and I am a senior, but he was so well mannered. I had been on the Pleasure Pier with my grandson and even though we were parked across the street, I had hit the wall. I just couldn't go any more. I felt embarrassed asking. I asked him how much he would charge and he said nothing. I said I wouldn't ride without paying. I think I gave him $2 and he took me right to my car. Now that is a positive company to represent Galveston. [thumbup]
