A Bacliff man didn’t need the help of an attorney to convince jurors to find him not guilty of threatening a man with a baseball bat.

A Galveston County jury Thursday found Paul William Vaccaro, 58, not guilty on a count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at the conclusion of a four-day trial, according to officials with the 405th District Court.

Vaccaro represented himself during the trial, officials said.

A grand jury indicted Vaccaro in April 2017, asserting that he threatened another man by swinging a baseball bat at him, court records show.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident, records show.
