A drunk-driving call Saturday night led Friendswood police to arrest a Dickinson man on attempted robbery and weapons charges.
Salem Phan, 23, of Dickinson, was charged with attempted aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm by a person involved in family violence and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
A witness reported an intoxicated driver swerving in the 100 block of East Parkwood Avenue just after 8 p.m., police said.
The vehicle eventually pulled into a drugstore parking lot, police said.
An officer approached the vehicle and saw the driver was loading a pistol magazine, police said.
The officer opened the car door and arrested the driver, police said.
Police reported finding a ski mask, a hoodie, ammunition and another pistol magazine in the car, officials said.
Phan was being held Monday in the Galveston County Jail on $43,000 bond, jail records show.
