Police arrested three men after a monthslong investigation into drug manufacturing and dealing in a bust that turned up more than nine pounds of marijuana and 22 grams of ecstasy, authorities said.

La Marque police confiscated about 9 pounds 13 ounces of marijuana, 1,197 grams of Promethazine, 22 grams of ecstasy, 4.55 grams of heroin and prescription narcotics from three apartments in the 800 block of Hudler Street, officers said. Officers also found $2,100 in cash, police said.

Police arrested John Wayne Brown, 33; Timothy Paul Smith, 34; and Thairn Arnel Walker, 41. All were charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and were each being held in the Galveston County Jail on bonds of $250,000, police said.

The investigation was ongoing and more charges could be filed, police said.
