A Santa Fe man was arrested Thursday and charged with hitting an elderly man during a confrontation in a Walmart parking lot in October.

The incident happened on the afternoon of Oct. 3, 2017. Police were called to the Walmart in the 6400 block of Interstate 45 in La Marque to a report of an assault, according to police documents.

Police later learned that the victim was 65 years old.

Police reviewed surveillance video and spoke to witnesses before seeking charges, according to the documents.
