GALVESTON

The city's annual holiday parade will be in a new location this year, city officials announced Friday.

The parade will move downtown, moving in a loop from Santa Fe Place, down 25th Street, east on Postoffice Street, north on 21st Street and will end on The Strand.

In recent years, the parade was held on Seawall Boulevard. The Galveston Municipal Police Association sponsors the parade, which is planned for 6 p.m. Dec. 16.
