Police were searching Wednesday for two burglars who broke into a Dickinson barbecue restaurant and a League City Mexican restaurant early Tuesday morning, authorities said.

About 2 a.m. Tuesday, two suspects driving a white SUV with a dent on the left rear side broke into Dickinson Bar-B-Q in the 2100 block of FM 517, Dickinson police said.

After leaving the barbecue restaurant, the burglars broke into La Brisa Mexican Bar and Grill, 501 N. Wesley Dr., which the League City Police Department was investigating.

Surveillance in the restaurants show one tall and thin man in a green-hooded jacket and black pants, which were falling off his waist. The second burglar wore a grey-hooded jacket and red pants. Both burglars wore gloves and attempted to obscure their faces.

The suspects were carrying a sledgehammer and a crow bar, police said.

Dickinson police are seeking information about the burglaries and urge people to contact detective J. Peterson at 281-337-6341 or detective R. Tisdale at 281-338-4189.
