Two Galveston County officers are among 608 law enforcement officers being honored on the End of Watch Ride to Remember’s mobile memorial.

The motorcycle riders and their 40-foot mobile memorial rolled into Cruise Terminal No. 1 in Galveston on Wednesday to honor Port of Galveston Police Sgt. Clay Garrison, who died in August of from complications related to COVID-19, and will be at the Friendswood Police Department at 8 a.m. Thursday to honor Sgt. James Dement, who died in December of a of a COVID- related illness.

The ride started June 1 in Spokane, Washington and will travel more than 20,000 miles across the country to honor officers who died in 2021.
