A Harris County district court judge will hear arguments Monday during a motion for summary judgment in the case of a woman suing a man for more than $1 million, asserting he sexually assaulted her after a business meeting in Kemah.

Attorneys for the defendant, Ryan Landry, on Aug. 30 filed a no-evidence motion for summary judgment, arguing the plaintiff, Emma Gingerich, filed the lawsuit to generate free publicity for a book she’d written and that she hasn’t presented any evidence of an assault.
