After a three-year legal battle, a Galveston contractor is no longer facing a lawsuit asserting he didn’t do what he said he would.

A judge Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit Charles and Angelita Manis filed in 2017 against James Casey in the 56th District Court, asserting they had agreed to a contract to construct a home in the Indian Beach subdivision and had paid $5,000 as an initial payment.
