Cruise Terminal Groundbreaking (copy)

The CDC said Thursday that 5,013 cruise-related infections had been detected between Dec. 15 and Dec. 29. It’s unclear how many of those cases are connected to the six cruise ships based in Galveston. One of them, Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas, is pictured here moored at the Port of Galveston on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday advised both the vaccinated and unvaccinated to avoid travel by cruise ship, warning chances of viral spread were again very high.

Hmm. I guess we can expect another "phenomenal" year for the POG.

It will be phenomenal only if everyone packs one PPE for each day- primary colors for M days and psychedelic colors on T days, and maybe stripes with a few splashes of highway department neon colors on the weekend. With total jumpsuits, all activities except swimming and tanning could be enjoyed in a germ-free environment. At the end of the week after neatly packing each of these recyclable outfits for special disposal on the ships we can all return home with an almost empty suitcase except for our pajamas that were only worn in our sterilized cabin room. I wonder how long it will take for the USA supply chain can make these PPEs. It could be a great way to getaway. Of course, if the outfit is waterproof with an oxygen tube added along with an airtight mask .... it could be done. Just a crazy thought.
