GALVESTON

The University of Texas Medical Branch is among four universities named in a letter that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals sent Tuesday to acting State Auditor Lisa Collier. The group is requesting an audit of the use of public resources to euthanize animals kept for experiments that were deemed nonessential during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Exterminating rats seems to me a proper use of tax funds. NY City spends millions every year to control rat populations.
