Odd as it might seem, Santa Fe Mayor Jason Tabor is now one of the most senior elected officials in Galveston County.

With the recent departures of longtime mayors Jim Yarbrough, Matt Doyle, Julie Masters and Bobby Hocking from their positions, Tabor, who was elected to office in 2018, jumped up in the ranks of seniority among local city leaders and is hoping he can keep his senior status for a couple more years.

Good luck to Mayor Tabor. I think he has done a great job leading Santa Fe since taking over under a time of crisis - just in the aftermath of the school shooting. A really good leader.
