Warren Nichols, president of College of the Mainland, Jerome Karam, owner and CEO of JMK5 Holdings, and Kyle Dickson, chairman of the College of the Mainland Board of Trustees, celebrate a new location for College of the Mainland in League City.

College of the Mainland’s expansion to a new campus in League City, expected to be completed by August, will be a revenue generator for the college, an important educational asset for north county high school students and a recruiting tool for future enrollees, according to partners in the venture.

Good luck commuting there, traffic is horrible morning, lunch and evening rush hour.

Being next to a stoplight on 518 and Wesley drive with both ends connecting to the I-45 feeder should provide better access than the current location backed up to Clear Creek and less than a mile away.

Wesley drive is a dilapidated narrow 2 lane black top road.

Hopefully League City will support COM and make road upgrade to a 3 lane curb and gutter with center turn lane.

Great move by COM. The Trustees and President continue its turnaround.

Another problem I see with this location is there is not much room for expansion.

Another solid decision made by COM's leadership. Dr. Nichols and the Board should be commended.
