With less than five months until the 2020 U.S. Census, some Galveston County governments are organizing to ensure their cities are accurately counted.

The census, a detailed count of the nation’s populace conducted at the beginning of each decade, influences all sorts of things, including how much and in what manner city’s can obtain federal money. And an accurate census count is important for redrawing federal, state and local voting districts.
