It seems like there are a lot of positives by combining all middle schools into one campus. But it also seems like there is not reason you cannot continue the program at Austin within the combined campus. Schools need to offer programs for kids that are more academically motivated, but also offer programs for kids who have no interest or intention of attending a four year university. Schools should prep kids to be successful upon graduation. Whether that be moving on to a four year university to pursue a career as a doctor or a lawyer, or going to a technical / trade school where you can learn skill or trade that will help you be a successful adult.
