A new report suggests Galveston County is one of the riskiest places in the country to live in terms of flooding.

It's great that these nice people from Brooklyn were able to let us know that our community is at high risk of flooding. It would have been nice to have that report back when we were discussing rebuilding public housing on the island after Ike. Fortunately, out-of-towners, led by a McArthur Genius Grant winner were able to prevail over local sensibilities that time.
