Businesses owners and residents who haven’t received mail over the past week because of the collapse of a U.S. Postal Service building in Houston should start receiving letters and other items soon, a postal service spokeswoman said Tuesday.

Still, a week of delays in mail service had some government offices making plans for late payments, and some area businesses operators worried important mail had been lost forever.

“The agency hadn’t yet determined whether any mail was damaged or lost in the collapse, Johnson said.”. That is either a lie or an admission on incompetence. It’s been almost a week. Are they saying they haven’t looked under the roof yet? They don’t know if water got in the building?
