More studies, lol. The area of Galveston Island not protected by the Seawall wants no protection, and the area protected by it want's flood relief from the Bay. I bet there are some at the Corps of Engineers that wish they had never heard of an Ike Dike, Coastal Spine, or the voices of Galveston residents. It's to the point of being laughable at present, a line from Kenny Roger's "The Gambler" comes to mind for Corps leaders. "You got to know when to hold them, Know when to fold them Know when to walk away, And no when to run " .

I'd like to change my estimate for All Encompassing Surge Protection Barrier (by any other name) completion from 'Not in my kid's or grandkids' lifetime' to 'Not in this century'.
