Why isn’t curbside recycling feasible for the island? It’s been feasible and in place in League City for the last 20 years........???

I think the emptying of the bins once a week line is a lie. People from the neighborhood have to contact the city to get them to come clean up the area because people are just piling up items next to the bike since they are full.

Here's an idea: A large sign that says dumping anything but recyclables in the bins will incur an automatic $250 fine. Then place a motion sensor activated high resolution still camera on a pole, get the license plate numbers of the violators and SHOW NO MERCY.

It's high time society started ferreting out those who break the law rather than ending positive and progressive programs that encourage people to do the right thing.

Kudos to Mr. Mihovil for taking the initiative to get them put in. I hope the City finds a better way to punish the miscreants and not the good residents in the area.

And make tampering with the camera a $500 fine.

Someone told me once, "We could cut crime by two/thirds if we surveilled the population 24/7 when they walked out their front door." [tongue_smile]
