It would be helpful if you could list the propositions voted on by City Council with the results. Or the link to the propositions. Thanks in advance.

"term limits reduce the accountability of elected officials while they’re in office, they reduce the electoral challenge, and they limit the choice of voters.” I agree completely. The people should be the ones to "unelect" an elected municipal official, not a charter. So says someone (me) who has served on 3 city charter review committees in Texas.

I hope that the folks developing the Dickinson Charter Amendments have a moment to discuss the process and eventual posting of amendments with Texas City. We just went through the process and I am sure we could share what worked and what could have been done better. The ballot Amendment wording is something to watch; especially for those Charter Provisions that must be changed to comply with Federal and/or State Law. Just my thoughts.
