I’m sorry to see this but, frankly, I’m surprised the store held on this long.

Profitable grows, unprofitable closes. That's how capitalism functions. Each store closed is replaced by something. Most of the best employees will have better new jobs before this store closes. Good employees are always a premium hire.

Hats off to the employees at the Texas City Sears store. I visited it about a month ago to buy a mower. That store was properly stocked with LOTS of equipment to buy and the employees were super nice & knowledgeable. Kind of like stepping back in to a Sears back in the 80's. Was a great experience!

I've also had good experiences shopping at this store - find what I am looking for unlike other places I visit. Sears tools and Kenmore appliances are impeccable so I don't understand the lack of customers. Sad that Sears has gone the way of Circuit City and Mervyns et al.

Well...Sears Automotive did not treat their customers honestly, watch out Firestone.
