A true Renaissance Man; a man of many and varied talents. Our thoughts and prayers with his wife Brenda and family!

The loss of a great man and wonderful friend is simply too great to find the words that fit.

Everything the man did-including love his family-was done with the same eccentric passion and joy he brought to his life’s work

I will miss him and his hilarious conversations every single day. Who else but George could write a twenty page story about the Great Oyster Invasion of Galveston and make it read like HGWells. Irreplaceable!

George was very creative, and passionate about life.

He was a great interviewer because he put people at ease.

Condolences to Brenda and the entire family. Rest In Peace.
