Storm damage on the West End

Sand is piled around the end of Ghost Crab Lane in Pirates Beach in Galveston on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020. Dunes in the West End subdivision as well as road beds along the beach were wiped out by Hurricane Laura, Tropical Storm Beta and Hurricane Delta.

The island should have a lot more beach by the year’s end.
