Galveston public school officials are preparing for their day in court next week in a fight over mask mandates.

Lawyers for the Galveston Independent School District and the Texas Attorney General’s office are scheduled to appear in Judge Kerry Neve’s 10th District Court for a hearing about a restraining order that would at least temporarily lift the district’s mask requirement.
