Congrats on your accomplishments Ms. Leigh. However to answer your question, Constance Greer was the City of Hitchcock Secretary until her untimely passing in 1995.

Martin is correct. Connie was selected City of Hitchcock Secretary in April 1993 and served until her untimely death in an automobile accident on Thanksgiving day 1995. Connie was a Hitchcock High School Cheerleader graduating from HHS in 1987.

Congratulations young lady. Connie Greer was the first Black City Secretary of Hitchcock. But it’s great to see a second. Good luck in your position.

Many years of fruition for you Ms. Leigh. Another page of history for Texas City. I am reminded of my dear friend and past city secretary Paul O. Barth each time I pass the rose garden that bears his name next to city hall. [beam]
