ARPA funds being given to the City and County could be used to help complete this capital campaign need. The explosion in pets being put up at the shelter is a direct result of the impact of Covid-19 (Unemployment, return to work, etc...). The local county commissioner should be approached to initiate a county contribution to the shelter to help out.
