The Gulf Coast Tiny Paws Rescue pet of the week is Sparkle.

Found on the Fourth of July, the name Sparkle perfectly describes her personality. She’s extremely social and loves to play, chasing after toys, batting streamers in the air and hiding then jumping out at an unsuspecting victim. When tired, she jumps up on an available lap or curls up on a soft bed for a snooze.

Sparkle is an independent girl but gets along with other kittens once she gets to know them. She has been exposed to adult cats and large dogs and after an initial hiss, she’s interested in them; children unknown.

To learn more, visit If you’d like to meet her, come out to our adoption event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Pet Supplies Plus, 1357 E. League City Parkway in League City.
