The Galveston Island Humane Society pets of the week are Eureka and Bean.
Eureka is a sweet 1-year-old female brown and tan tabby cat with a white chin and soft green eyes. She was adopted from us as a present for a grandchild, but when the grandchild moved away, they did not want Eureka anymore. She is quiet and likes to watch her surroundings. She also loves window naps in the sun. Eureka is a shy girl who truly is in need of love and attention, come see her today!
Bean is a 5-year-old cream colored male chihuahua. What an amazing, lovable and affectionate dog! He loves everyone he meets and especially loves to be walked on a leash. Perfect for those who might be in a townhouse or apartment. He is totally house trained and would be great with a family and kids. He’s an adorable dog with such good manners, stop by to meet Bean today!
Due to Hurricane Harvey, the date for the Galveston Island Humane Society’s Annual Paws Gala: “20,000 Paws Under the Sea” has been rescheduled for Nov. 18. There is still plenty of time to purchase tickets, check out sponsorship opportunities and get a sneak peek at auction items on the webpage www.pawsunderthesea.com.
Come by the shelter or check the website to view and visit our family! All adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, current vaccinations and a month of pet insurance. These featured pets have an adoption sponsor allowing the adoption fee of $25 for this week only!
