The Lone Star Rally is the largest four-day motorcycle rally in North America. It includes contests, concerts and attractions. This is the rally’s 13th year on Galveston Island.

WHEN: Thursday through Sunday

WHERE: Festivities concentrated in Galveston’s historic downtown and Seawall Boulevard. The main drag is The Strand, 18th to 25th streets. 


Street Closures

Seawall Boulevard will be subject to traffic closures from 19th to 25th street, starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Eastbound traffic will remain open. Westbound traffic will be routed down 19th Street to Avenue O, westbound to 25th Street and south to Seawall Boulevard.

The main drag for motorcycles only will be from 18th to 25th streets and The Strand. No vehicular traffic will be allowed. Parking ares surrounding The Strand District are available.

Seawall Paid Parking

Visitors to the Seawall can use a mobile app, the Internet, or a mobile phone to pay for parking.

• Fee: $1 per hour, not to exceed $8 per day or $25 for an annual pass.

• Hours of operation: 10 a.m. — 6 p.m. seven days a week.

• Cash accepted at: Island Bicycle, 1808 Seawall Blvd., and Ohana Surf and Skate, 2814 Ave. R ½.

Paid parking areas include the north and south sides of Seawall Boulevard from 6th to 69th Street and 81st to 103rd Street. The area between 69th and 81st Street is free of charge.

The city recommends residents and visitors download the Lone Star Rally app for real time updates. 

Unified Command Center

The Unified Command Center, operated by the Galveston Police Department, will be downtown between Market and Mechanic Street on 22nd Street. 

RV Parking and Overnight Camping

Overnight camping is not permitted at any public beach on Galveston Island with the exception of authorized locations. Overnight parking along Seawall is also prohibited.
