As we’ve all found out in the past few weeks, some “virtual” experiences are better than others.

Virtual hugs are a pretty poor substitute for the real thing, but virtual meetings have advantages such as not wearing pants and enjoying good snacks instead of stale donuts. A virtual farmers market may seem like an oxymoron, so the challenge for Galveston’s Own Farmers Market was to create a virtual market online that could connect customers with fresh produce, meat, baked goods and other products.
