Celebrity cookbooks can be fun to read (after all, these are people whose job it is to make things look good) but sketchy to cook from.

One new entry on the celebrity cookbook shelf solves that issue by pairing familiar television star Jesse Tyler Ferguson with a trained chef and recipe developer, Julie Tanous, who also is one of his closest friends. The resulting cookbook, “Food Between Friends,” is an ode to their friendship in and out of the kitchen.
