Galveston’s Own Farmers Market has been delivering market orders for a while during the coronavirus pandemic, and now the market will even deliver a party.
Okrafest, the market’s largest fundraising event, is going virtual this year Saturday, and while participants won’t gather together to enjoy food and music, they will be doing so at home, with okra dishes from supporting local restaurants.
I'm not a huge fan of okra, but I am a huge fan of the restaurants involved, and Galveston's Own Farmers Market, which is truly one of the best things about Galveston. I'll be watching.
