Most Americans who marry do so within their own faith. Almost 70 percent choose not to cross religious boundaries, according to a recent Pew Forum study.

A separate finding, published by the Institute for Family Studies, states, “Clearly, white, black and Latino spouses who attend church together are about 9 percentage points more likely to say they are ‘very happy’ or ‘extremely happy’ than husbands and wives who do not.”
