‘The Dixie Swim Club’
The Bay Area Harbour Playhouse, which just celebrated its 26th anniversary, is suggesting you and I get tickets to its upcoming production of “The Dixie Swim Club” set for an Aug. 25 opening at 3803 state Highway 3 N. in Dickinson.
The presentation, based on five Southern women whose friendships began many years ago on their college team, showcases how some friendships last forever.
Directed by Jeremiah Maddix, the show will feature Katie Reed, Joanna Alexander, Susan Hammel, Kaira Jackson and Jrenna Maddix.
The play, written by popular Texas playwrights Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, proves that the enduring power of “teamwork” wins.
Performances can be seen at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 25 through Sept. 17.
This smaller upstairs theater has only 60 seats, so reservations are strongly recommended.
Tickets begin at $12 and discounts are available for military, seniors and groups of 10 or more. Parking is free.
