Moody Gardens will celebrate its 20th year of Festival of Lights with Santa Claus, of course, who will parachute in to illuminate the mile-long light trail Saturday at 1 Hope Blvd. in Galveston.

The time-honored tradition, which has delighted families from near and far, will kick off with its opening ceremony from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and feature live music, dance performances and festive lights. Festival of Lights is one of the largest holiday lighting events on the Gulf Coast, so make sure you and yours get out to see what’s in store this year.
