Galveston College’s 50th Anniversary Gala is set for Oct. 15 at the Galveston Island Convention Center at the San Luis Resort, 5600 Seawall Blvd., in Galveston.

Back by popular demand, The Music Box Theatre-Houston will entertain the crowd. Last fall, MBT-Houston charmed the 2015 Un-Gala partygoers at the college in the Abe and Annie Seibel Foundation Wing. They tailored an original script with great American songbook selections and humor about all things Galveston.

For the 2016 Gala, MBT-Houston will set to music and parody all the ups and downs of the American college experience over the last five decades. The award-winning professional cabaret theater is excited about making a return trip to Galveston to assist the Galveston College Foundation. Also, the wildly popular 15 member Mambo Jazz Kings, with orchestra and vocals, will knock out the solid gold sounds of the last five decades.

Among some of the activities planned is an upscale silent auction, a Gem of a College Champagne raffle and a totally trip-oriented bid-board. The 50th Anniversary Gala 2016 will raise funds in honor of the College and its students with food, drinks and entertainment from 6:30 p.m. until midnight.

Multilevel sponsorships are still available.
