REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATION FEMA HAZARD MITIGATION ASSISTANCE PROJECTS GALVESTON COUNTY, TEXAS Sealed qualifications in sets of six (6), one (1) unbound original, four (4) copies, will be received in the office of the Galveston County Purchasing Agent until 2:15 P.M.CST, on Thursday, October 14, 2021 and opened immediately in that office in the presence of Galveston County Auditor and the Purchasing Agent. Sealed qualifications are to be delivered to Rufus G. Crowder, CPPO CPPB, Galveston County Purchasing Agent at the Galveston County Courthouse, 722 Moody, (21st Street), Floor 5, Purchasing, Galveston, Texas 77550, (409) 770-5372. The time stamp clock located in the Purchasing Agent's office shall serve as the official time keeping piece for this solicitation process. Any qualifications received after 2:15 P.M. CST on the specified date will be returned unopened. Purpose: The County of Galveston is seeking qualification statements from professionals and/or firms to perform Construction Manager services for Galveston County projects as assigned by the Galveston County Commissioners' Court. The County expresses an interest in Construction Manager at Risk-Cost Plus Fee with Guaranteed Max as well as Construction Manager Advisor arrangements. All other contract approaches may be considered by the Commissioners' Court as well. All qualifications must be marked on the outside of the envelope: RFQ #B212036 FEMA HAZARD MITIGATION ASSISTANCE PROJECTS Qualifiers name and return address should be prominently displayed on the proposal package for identification purposes. Specifications can be obtained on application at the office of the Galveston County Purchasing Agent, located in the Galveston County Courthouse, 722 Moody, (21st Street), Floor 5, Purchasing, Galveston, Texas, 77550, or by visiting the Galveston County website @ http://www1.galvestoncountytx.gov/pu/Pages/OpenSolicitations.aspx. This solicitation is for a professional services contract and shall be awarded on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualifications. Any customary fees regarding the resultant contract will be negotiated for a fair and reasonable price and may not exceed any maximum provided by law. Bonding Requirements: There are no bonding requirements for this solicitation. The Galveston County Commissioners' Court reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any and all qualifications, and to accept the qualification which, in its opinion, is most advantageous to Galveston County with total respect the governing laws.
