About Unitarian Universalist
The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Galveston County is a thriving and growing religious community, which supports our members, liberal religion, social justice, and the inherent worth and dignity of every person. Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Galveston County! Ours is a non-creedal religion, a free faith. We are guided not by a required dogma or creed but by a set of principles. We believe in the: * freedom of religious expression. * tolerance of religious ideas. The religions of every age and culture have something to teach those who listen. * authority of reason and conscience. * search for truth. * unity of experience. There is no fundamental conflict between faith and knowledge. * worth and dignity of each human being. * ethical application of religion. * force of love, which seeks to help and heal, never to hurt or destroy. Our Fellowship is currently engaged in the process required by the Unitarian Universalist Association to be officially designated as a Welcoming Congregation for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered individuals. We have approximately 100 members. Our weekly service is held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday with religious education provided for children.
