Room service: League City is about to get a little more hospitable.
Fairfield Inn and Suites on Thursday said it planned a 110-room hotel in Pinnacle Park, a 100-acre mixed-use town center at Interstate 45 and Big League Dreams Parkway.
The five-story, 64,000-square-foot property will feature such amenities as an outdoor pool and adjoining swim-up bar. The design incorporates a curved porte-cochere and a glass entrance.
Fairfield Inn and Suites is part of Marriott International. The developer is Pika Hotels, the architect is DR Associates from Houston and the general contractor is KK Builders.
Pinnacle Park has been on a hot streak when it comes to attracting retailers and restaurants and major anchor tenants. Principals with Pinnacle Alliance Fund, developer of the commercial center, have lured a lineup of restaurants and retailers, including PizzaFire, Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, Firehouse Subs, Beef Jerky Outlet and Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurants.
Outdoor store Cabela’s anchors the park, which also will soon be home to Memorial Hermann’s 47,000-square-foot Convenient Care Center.
Crews are expected to break ground on Fairfield Inn and Suites in late summer and construction will take about a year to complete, officials said.
The hotel is meant to meet demand by visitors to Memorial Hermann, the University of Texas Medical Branch‘s massive medical complex in Victory Lakes and other visitors to the area.
“We are excited to have Marriott as part of our development,” said John Meador of Pinnacle Fund Alliance. “Their presence will help support out-of-town families that need overnight accommodations for Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center and UTMB, as well as business travelers.”
