BOLIVAR PENINSULA — Like many property owners, Brad Ballard thought it a good idea to secure loose items on his property in advance of Tropical Storm Bill.

Thing is, the Friendswood resident owns a lot of property at the two developments who is building on the Bolivar Peninsula. So, to get there he had to take the ferry.

It proved to be a wild ride with waves crashing over the bow of the ferry to the delight of tourists who were also aboard to make the trek to the peninsula.

Ballard, who is developing Laguna Harbor on Bolivar Peninsula, shot this video of the ferry ride from Galveston to Bolivar.

It was a wild ride on the Galveston Ferry today coming back from Laguna Harbor. Thankfully, all of the homes in Laguna Harbor are high and dry!Seagrass Beach | NewCoast Properties | Galveston County Daily News
