Bubba's Shrimp Palace to serve up second location

Server Jennifer Trotter dishes out shrimp to diner Bart Garcia at Bubba's Shrimp Palace in San Leon in January. Bubba's plans to move into former Sudie's site in League City.

Can we call this a Palace coup?

Bubba’s Shrimp Palace is scooting into the building that until November had housed Sudie’s Seafood House, 325 Interstate 45 N.

In November, after 11 years, the Bailey family closed the Sudie’s in League City to focus on its Pasadena venue

Matt Smith, manager of Bubba Shrimp Palace at 113 Sixth St. in San Leon, confirms the popular eatery plans to open a second restaurant in the former Sudie’s building.

The San Leon eatery will remain open.

Bubba’s Shrimp Palace is known for fresh caught seafood, bay views and all-you-can shrimp specials.

Look for the League City Bubba’s to open some time next month with old favorites and some new menu items, Smith said.

Laura,
Cowboys Cajun Kitchen has been closed for a couple months now for "Repairs" though I've not seen any movement. Any word on when or if it will be back up and running?

Also, do you or does anyone else know what's coming in at 1828 Strand(Former Pink Dolphin/Retro location)? A good bit of activity around there lately.

I've contacted the manager of Cajun Kitchen and called the restaurant several times, but no one is returning my call. I'll keep trying.
I don't know about the Pink Dolphin site, but will find out. Thanks for the buzz.

There's also activity at the former 901 Postoffice (which I guess is still 901 Postoffice...). Anything there?

Laura - what are those huge storage tanks by Big League Dreams in L.C.? They are wood, what are they going to store in them? Thanks.

Those are the forms for the pouring of concrete to make a water treatment plant for Cabela's and the other stores coming this fall. That's my guess[beam]
