On Thursday evening, Galveston Progressive Connection with representatives from the League of United Latin American Citizens led a march to oppose the separation of children from their families at the U.S. Mexico border on the seawall. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has invoked a zero-tolerance policy mandating the separation of children from parents facing prosecution at the border. Dozens of children are being separated from their parents each day. Speakers at the march urged attendees to call their representatives as much as possible and to vote in the mid-term elections in November.
