Thousands gathered to pay their final respects to Kemah Police Chief Chris Reed Friday, July 14, 2019.  Reed was killed June 7 in a boating accident.  

A memorial service was held at Clear Creek Community Church in League City followed by a police honors ceremony and vehicle procession through League City to Kemah City Hall and back to the church.  

In addition to serving as police chief, Reed, a former U.S. Army paratrooper, served on the Clear Creek Independent School Board of Trustees.
