Miss Lindsey Elaine Mims and Mr. Lacy Allen “Trey” Suarez, III of Dickinson were united in marriage in a double ring candlelight ceremony at 6:30 in the evening on May 18, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Galveston. The ceremony was officiated by The Reverend Dr. Alan Brehm, minister of the Dickinson First Presbyterian Church. Scripture readings were given by Tammy Curry, the groom’s aunt, and Karen Katchur, aunt of the bride, with music by organist Mary Jean Sargeant.
The bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and dance reception following the ceremony in the Davidson Ballroom of The Tremont House Hotel with music provided by the Mambo Jazz Kings. The reception ended with wedding guests participating in the traditional New Orleans Second Line march, led by the bride and groom carrying decorated umbrellas.
