Elias Vargas
TEXAS CITY — Mr. Elias Reinaldo Vargas passed from this life Saturday morning, October 31, 2009.
Born March 28, 1983, in Galveston, Elias had been a longtime resident of Texas City and worked in the construction industry as a house painter.
Preceded in death by his grandfather, Ramon Lara, Sr., survivors include his mother Blanca E. Tan; sisters Rebecca Tan and Angelica Gamez; grandmother Irma Lara; aunts and uncles, Ruben (Irma) Pecina, Rosie (Roland) Morales, Janie (Francisco) Teralta, Lilia (Luis) Mugartegui, Ramon Lara, Jr., Barbara (Rudolfo) Alvarado; beloved step-father Chuan A. Tan; cousins Gabriela, Benjamin and Angelica Pecina; Roland Jr (Corrie), Fernando (Sharon) and Alejandro Morales; Sarah, Samantha and Abraham Peralta; Ana (Rick Galvan), Mary Lou and Antonio Mugartegui; Amy and Lorraine Lara; Rudy, Roldan and Amanda Alvarado.
Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Catedral de Fe, Iglesia Cristiana Familiar, 915 Texas Ave. (FM 1765) in La Marque, the Rev. Mario Guitierrez officiating. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Call (409) 938-3652 for information.
