Dorothy Mae McClellen
TEXAS CITY — Dorothy Mae McClellen passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in Santa Fe, Texas. She was born on November 1, 1926, in Galveston, Texas to William Graves and Myrtle Hempel Trimble. Dorothy was a member of Highlands Baptist Church in La Marque, Texas and was a long time Sunday school teacher and enjoyed playing the piano. She has been a long time resident of Texas City, Texas.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Raymond McClellen; daughter Janet Brandon and husband Will; son Don McClellen and wife Pam; sisters Jo Cook and Mollie Walker; brother Luther Trimble; 3 grandchildren Justin and Kelsey Brandon and Dana McClellen. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Her visitation will be on Thursday, November 5, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas and her service will be on Friday, November 6, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
Pallbearers are Will Brandon, Justin Brandon, Jim Trimble, Jack Foreman, Rusty McClellen and C.J. Leggett.
The family would like to give special thanks to Mary Hernandez, the staff of Perfect Solution Personal Home Care and the Q Staff Hospice.
