Mary Alice Land
Mary Alice Land passed away on November 2, 2009, in Texas City. She was born September 7, 1921, to George W. Rasco and Ollie L. Denman. She was raised in a large family with 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She married Frank Edwin Land on December 23, 1939. They were married 48 years and during that time welcomed twins Frank Neil Land and Mary Nell Mason and later Tommie Ray Land. She is blessed with 13 grandchildren, which include 3 generation of twins. She is a long time member of First Baptist Church in La Marque where she faithfully taught Sunday school. She spent a lifetime sewing, beautifully for the public, family, and friends.
Mary is survived by her daughter Mary Nell and Morris Mason; sons Frank Neil and Sherry Land, Tommie Ray and Toni Land; sister Pansy Falco; brother Donald Rasco; 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank Land; brothers J. T. Rasco, Will Ross Rasco, Gerald Dean Rasco, Floyd Lee Rasco, Sam L. Rasco: sister Juanita Keefer; and granddaughter Tonja Rae Land.
Her visitation will be on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas and her service will be on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m., at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas with Morris Mason officiating with interment to follow at Forest Park East in Webster, Texas.
Pallbearers are Frank Land Jr., Tommy Land. Jr., Dean Mason, Dan Williams, Bud Jones, and Lawrence Rodriguez.
